About the Nelson Car Show

The organisation

The Nelson Car Show Trust is a not for profit organisation made up of a few local car enthusiasts who want to support the hobby in Nelson by putting on a great show for the community.

What not for profit means to us

We try to keep the entry cost as low as possible so that everyone can afford to enjoy the event - and you can't get any cheaper than FREE! We have a number of great sponsors who contribute either financially or with donations of product, please support them wherever you can. In past years the show has turned over some income from gate sales, and excess funds not required to run the show have always been donated to a worthy cause - examples are the RNZFB Guide Dogs, Christchurch Earthquake Mayoral Relief Fund, NZ Central Motorsport Park, and Motueka Regional Ambulance. However we figure that the best way of giving money to support local enthusiasts is not to take it, so we will be running our first ever totally FREE event in 2014.

Getting involved

We're few in number but big on enthusiasm. Sometimes we work a bit slowly (those day jobs get in the way of having fun sometimes!) but we've got big plans to continue improving the show into the future. If you're a member of a local car club or an individual enthusiast who has a great idea or just wants to get involved then please contact us. All suggestions welcome but please go easy on us! The best thing you can do to help is come along and enjoy the show!
